Barneys cafe bar, Worthing.
NEW OWNER – a fresh start
In 2003 I left Barneys to venture out on my own and now after 8 years I have returned, not as chef but as owner.
Peter Batts has been introduced as the new head chef with the menu focusing on some of Barneys old favorites but with some great new ideas brought in. We passionately believe in simple dishes cooked with the best seasonal ingredients, sourced locally with outstanding service
The main bar area and toilets have already been completely refurbished, the Canteen will re-open shortly after refurbishment and the upper terrace area now has a completely new look.
Our prices and menu are the same wherever you choose to join us:
- In the calm Canteen dining area with plain wooden tables and comfortable seats, where you can hear yourself talk in private with attentive table service.
- On the first floor sun terrace, new sun shades with tall green bamboo adding freshness and shade to the area. Table service provided.
- In the main bar area you can choose from comfortable settees and chairs, tables and upright chairs, bar stools or simply stand. This area is especially geared up for young families with our crèche area and easy access for push chairs.
The facilities on the first floor function room have also been improved.
I am very happy to discuss any special function you are planning using either the 1st floor function room or ground floor Canteen room. We have a choice of 3 buffet menus to suit all requirements.
I look forward to meeting you soon!
